Locality: | Jianshan Mine, Kuruktag Mountains, 300 km southeast of Ürümqi, Shanshan County, Xinjiang Uygur Region, China |
Description: | Thin plate of lustrous vivid-orange transparent-to-translucent wulfenite crystals over white calcite with no underlying matrix. The wulfenite crystals are thin square blades with truncated corners and exhibit phantom-growth zoning. Collected ca. 2006.
