Mineral:Chalcopyrite and Malachite with Limonite-coated Prehnite
Locality:Lower New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Bladed yellow-metallic chalcopyrite crystals to 12 mm protruding through brown limonite-coated prehnite crystal layer with green malachite microcrystals visible on one end where the prehnite was removed. Four chalcopyrite crystals are complete. Ex. St. Lawrence University Collection; ex. Howard E. Moore (1926-2011); collected ca. 1957-8
