Description: | Lustrous transparent deep-pink smithsonite crystals on gray sulfide rich matrix. The smithsonite pink color is probably caused by manganese or cobalt impurities, though some testing indicates that iron is responsible for the color. Ex. Georg Gebhard (author of Tsumeb I and II) |
