Description: | Rounded formation of translucent red-brown jasper pseudomorphs after bladed barite crystals to 10 mm. The barite crystallized first, then was replaced by jasper while the original shape of the barite crystals was maintained. (Pseudomorph = false form.) Ex. Irving Horowitz collection #2389 |
