Locality: | Piz Starlera, Val Cristallina, Grisons, Switzerland |
Description: | Sharp, well-crystallized adularia crystal, the low-temperature variety of orthoclase feldspar, coated on all surfaces with green chlorite microcrystals. The chlorite coating is thin and when illuminated from the rear the adularia exhibits translucency. Ex. John Geiges collection #416, acquired in 1995 from B. Butkowski; ex. R. E.
