Description: | Doubly terminated anorthoclase feldspar crystal with gray weathered surfaces. Anorthoclase is a middle member of a series, and is now an obsolete name, and is probably potassium-rich albite feldspar. A rare mineral specimen from Antarctica. Ex. John Geiges collection #318, acquired in 1993 from Al Tlush (Carousel Gems & Minerals) |
