Mineral:Copper (naturally crystallized native copper) with Calcite
Locality:Keweenaw Peninsula Copper District, Houghton County, Michigan
Description:Arborescent formation of sharp, well defined native copper crystals (naturally occurring copper crystals) with remnants of yellow calcite. The copper was enclosed in the calcite which was dissolved to expose the copper, leaving calcite in crevices. Collected ca. 1950
