Description: | Unusual quartz pseudomorph after prismatic topaz crystals to 20 mm. The pseudomorphs appear to be just rhyolite-included topaz, but hardness equals quartz and there is no evidence of a cleavage plane that would be present if it were still topaz. Collected ca. 1970 |
