Description: | Heavy compact crystallized mass of red cinnabar, locally referred to as Raspberry Ore by miners, with cap of darker (oxidized?) crystals on the upper surfaces. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #776, gift from Curt Nicolaus Schuette (1895-1975) manager of the New Almaden Mines. Nalle worked at the mine in 1942 |
