Description: | Lustrous dark red-black spessartine garnet crystal in a small cavity in gray rhyolite. The spessartine crystal is trapezohedral form and is surrounded by many small transparent colorless crystals of an unidentified mineral, probably quartz. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1996 |
