Locality:Ruby Mountain, Nathrop, Chaffee County, Colorado
Description:Lustrous transparent dark red-black spessartine garnet crystal in a shallow cavity in gray rhyolite with a partial spessartine garnet crystal on the edge of the cavity. The spessartine garnet crystal is trapezohedral form. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1996
