Description: | Lustrous dark red-black spessartine garnet crystal in a shallow cavity in gray rhyolite with quartz and hematite microcrystals. The spessartine garnet crystal is trapezohedral form with octahedral corner faces. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1996 |
