Description: | White pseudomorphs after fan-shaped bladed anhydrite crystals to 25 mm with transparent purple amethyst in the voids. Anhydrite formed first, was coated with white quartz, the anhydrite dissolved and amethyst formed in the molds. Ex. St. Lawrence University Collection; ex. Howard E. Moore (1926-2011); collected ca. 1950 |
