Mineral:Laumontite on Quartz with pseudomorphic cavities
Locality:Upper New Street Quarry, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Thin prismatic white laumontite crystals to 4 mm on a hemispherical cluster of lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 4 mm. Note the hollow pseudomorphic molds where the quartz crystallized around another mineral that later dissolved. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1990
