Locality:Pipeline excavation east side of Strickland Hill, Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut
Description:Many small wine-red almandine garnet crystals to 1 mm in colorless quartz coating the termination of a translucent green 22 mm beryl crystal. The almandine garnet crystals are trapezohedral form and look beautiful under magnification. Collected June 1997 during pipeline excavation
