Locality:Strickland Quarry, Collins Hill, Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut
Description:Lustrous dark tourmaline crystals that vary from dark-green elbaite tourmaline to black schorl tourmaline embedded in silvery thin muscovite mica crystals. The tourmaline crystals are visible on two edges of the muscovite. From my personal collection; collected on the Boston Mineral Club field trip when the dumps were being graded during golf course construction ca. 1994
