Locality: | Strickland Quarry, Collins Hill, Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut |
Description: | Compact crystallized mass of green elbaite tourmaline crystals intergrown with white albite. One side has two curved green elbaite tourmaline crystals to 25 mm. Has two small cavities lined with colorless and brown microcrystals (quartz? Garnet?) From my personal collection; collected on the Boston Mineral Club field trip when the dumps were being graded during golf course construction ca. 1994 |
