Locality:Strickland Quarry, Collins Hill, Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut
Description:Classic formation, typical of the Strickland Quarry, of a wedge-shaped cavity formed by platy cleavelandite variety of albite, quartz, and muscovite mica with a dark-green elbaite tourmaline completely filling the cavity. From my personal collection; collected on the Boston Mineral Club field trip when the dumps were being graded during golf course construction ca. 1994
