Mineral:Microlite on Albite
Locality:Strickland Quarry, Collins Hill, Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut
Description:Small translucent brown 1.2 mm microlite crystal on lustrous transparent colorless albite crystals to 10 mm lining a small cavity in translucent white albite. The albite fluoresces dull red under SW UV illumination. From my personal collection; collected on the Boston Mineral Club field trip when the dumps were being graded during golf course construction ca. 1994
