Description: | Large translucent white cleavelandite crystals, the platy variety of albite feldspar, in a solid mass with a solution cavity lined with sharp translucent white-to-tan albite crystals to 0.8 mm. A green elbaite crystal is embedded in the cleavelandite. From my personal collection; collected on the Boston Mineral Club field trip when the dumps were being graded during golf course construction ca. 1994 |
