Mineral:Magnetite in Talc
Locality:Chester Talc Mining District, Windsor County, Vermont
Description:Lustrous black-metallic magnetite crystal embedded in foliated talc. The magnetite crystal is octahedral form and are magnetic. One end of the magnetite crystals is incomplete because it fractured when the surrounding rock was split open. Collected ca. 1960
