Locality: | Amity-Edenville marble belt, Warwick Township, Orange County, New York |
Description: | Large lustrous octahedral black spinel crystals to 38 mm in translucent white calcite with lustrous brown phlogopite mica crystals to 5 mm. The calcite was dissolved to expose the spinel crystals and resulted in unusual patterns of white etched calcite. Collected ca. 1970. |
