Description: | Extraordinarily large 13 mm translucent red-brown sphalerite crystal in a concave translucent green prehnite pseudomorphic mold after an anhydrite crystal. Sphalerite crystals, a zinc sulfide mineral, are rare in NJ zeolite cavities. Collected by Frank Imbriacco on October 22, 2006. |
