Mineral:Elbaite Tourmaline with Lepidolite (interrupted growth)
Locality:Minas Gerais, Brazil
Description:Lustrous transparent pale-green elbaite tourmaline crystal with a 2 mm lepidolite crystal embedded in the termination. As the elbaite crystal was forming, the lepidolite crystal interrupted the growth, but the elbaite grew continued on the outer edges. Collected ca. 1980
