Description: | Transparent purple fluorite in banded layers running through calcite from a one-time find by Rutgers University. The fluorite and calcite fluoresce under cream and red under UV illumination. The calcite was partially dissolved to expose the fluorite. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #20590, collected ca. 1990 |
