Description: | Lustrous white bladed barite crystals to 8 mm over translucent yellow scalenohedral calcite crystals to 4 mm on the underside. The barite crystals are translucent with transparent termination tips. Barite is uncommon in the Illinois fluorite mines. Collected ca. 1990 |
