Locality: | Pipeline exposure, 500 m south of Diamond Lake, Glastonbury, Hartford County, Connecticut |
Description: | Double-sided plate of elongated staurolite crystals to 18 mm with a few dodecahedral dark-red almandine garnet crystals to 2 mm in silvery foliated phyllite. The staurolite and almandine crystals are harder than the phyllite and are proud of the surface. From my personal collection. Collected in 1996 |
