Description: | Plate of large brown staurolite crystals to 42 mm embedded in fine-grained gray schist with dodecahedral dark-red almandine garnet crystals to 6 mm on rear. The staurolite and almandine crystals are harder than the schist and are proud of the surface. From my personal collection. Collected ca. 1993 |
