Mineral:Cerussite (sixling-twinned crystals) on Cuprite
Locality:Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Lustrous transparent colorless cerussite crystals to 6 mm on translucent dark-red octahedral cuprite crystals to 1 mm on gray-brown matrix. The cerussite crystals are repeatedly twinned at 60° resulting in sixling twins. Difficult to photograph. Ex. Mort Metersky collection; originally acquired ca. 1990
