Mineral:Prehnite pseudomorph after Anhydrite with Calcite and Babingtonite
Locality:Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Translucent green prehnite pseudomorph after a 60 mm anhydrite crystal. The anhydrite crystallized first, was overgrown with prehnite, the anhydrite later dissolved leaving a mold inside the prehnite, which was lined with calcite and babingtonite. Ex. Jim Vander Veer collection (Sussex, NJ)
