Description: | Crystal of almandine garnet with flat crystal faces coated with greenish chlorite and muscovite mica. The almandine garnet is dodecahedral form and has contacts on the bottom and rear faces where it intersected adjacent crystals. Ex. W. B. Thompson collection; ex. Dr. Joseph Springall (1811-1895) of Dexter, Maine; ex. A.E. Foote (1846-1895); collected pre 1895 |
