Locality: | Amelia Mine, Boleo District, near Santa Rosalía, Baja California Sur, Mexico (Type Locality for Boleite and Pseudoboleite) |
Description: | Lustrous translucent blue boleite crystal with remnants of tan-colored matrix on the surfaces. The boleite is cubic form and the outer faces have thin epitaxial overgrowth of pseudoboleite crystals on the surfaces — a classic formation from this mine. Collected ca. 1980 |
