Locality:Carlile Shale formation (Cretaceous), near La Junta, Otero County, Colorado
Description:Lustrous translucent beige-colored calcite crystals on brown matrix. The calcite crystals are rhombohedral form with crystallization patterns on the faces indicating these are compound subparallel crystals. These are found in large septarian nodules. Ex. D. Miller collection #M549, collected ca. 1995
