Locality: | Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, near Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri |
Description: | Uncommonly large crystals of black sphalerite with remnants on the bottom of dolomite, galena, chalcopyrite and gray chert matrix. The sphalerite crystals are twinned on {111} plane with prominent twin plane running through the center of the specimen. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #15876 |
