Description: | Lustrous transparent red sphalerite crystals to 0.5 mm on tan-colored siderite and quartz microcrystals with gray-metallic cubic galena crystals to 1 mm. The sphalerite crystals look beautiful under magnification. Rear was sawn flat to reduce bulk. Ex. Julius Weber (1914-2003) collection, principle photographer of the Encyclopedia of Minerals (1974) |
