Locality: | Pegmatite exposure along power lines, west of Cathance Road, Topsham District, Sagadahoc County, Maine |
Description: | Lustrous translucent red-brown trapezohedral almandine garnet crystal perched on light-colored albite. The almandine crystal is complete all sides. The almandine rear shows a fracture that healed in position with quartz running through the center. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1985 |
