Mineral:Hyalite Opal on Smoky Quartz with Amethyst zones
Locality:Goboboseb Mountains, 43 km west of Brandberg Mountain, Erongo region, Namibia
Description:Doubly-terminated transparent smoky quartz crystal with purple amethyst quartz zone in the upper termination. The quartz crystal is a distorted, curved form with partial coating of hyalite opal in the lower portions that fluoresces green under SW UV.
