Description:Lustrous black-metallic platy hematite crystals to 8 mm in the growth habit commonly labeled during the period as Specular Hematite or Specularite. The hematite crystals have a second generation of botryoidal black hematite(?) microcrystals on the edges. Collected ca. 1895
