Locality:Mawi Pegmatite, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan
Description:Two parallel striated transparent pink kunzite crystals, the pink gem variety of spodumene, with remnants of pocket clay near the terminations. The kunzite crystals show deep color when viewed down the C-axis and fluoresces violet under UV illumination. Collected ca. 1999
