Description: | Double-sided plate of translucent red-brown dodecahedral almandine garnet crystals to 27 mm with prismatic translucent red-brown staurolite crystals to 13 mm in contrasting gray schist. The almandine garnet crystals stand proud of the schist. My best. Accompanied by custom-made acrylic stand to support upright. From my personal collection #757; collected ca. 1992 |
