Mineral:Calcite with linear zones of Pyrite inclusions
Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Transparent yellow calcite crystals in parallel orientation with remnants of dolomite and sulfide matrix on the edge. The calcite crystals have microscopic yellow-metallic pyrite crystals included in linear zones corresponding to the calcite structure. Collected ca. 1996
