Locality:Devil's Head, Rampart Range, 25 km southwest of Castle Rock, Douglas County, Colorado
Description:Lustrous doubly-terminated transparent smoky quartz crystals with complex suture patterns on the prism faces, indicative of twinning following the Dauphiné Law of quartz twinning. The lower termination is composed of many smaller parallel faces. Collected ca. 1992
