Locality:Momeik, northeast of Mogok, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma)
Description:Plumose translucent red rubellite tourmaline, the pink gem variety of the mineral species elbaite, over a core of black schorl tourmaline. These rounded rubellite crystal formations were commonly labeled as mushroom tourmalines. Collected ca. 1996
