Mineral:Quartz (reverse scepter formation)
Locality:Black Bear Pass, southeast of Telluride, San Miguel-San Juan Counties, Colorado
Description:Two generations of lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals with no matrix attached. The largest 30 mm quartz crystal grew first, then was overgrown with smaller parallel quartz crystals to 20 mm forming a reverse-scepter formation. Collected ca. 1992
