Locality: | Cunningham Gulch, 8 km east of Silverton, San Juan County, Colorado |
Description: | Lustrous gray-white quartz crystals to 1 mm in epimorphs after rhombohedral calcite crystals to 13 mm. The calcite crystallized first, quartz crystals grew over them, the calcite dissolved, then more quartz crystals coated all surfaces inside and out. Collected ca. 1990 |
