Description: | Brown otavite microcrystals on translucent white blocky aragonite crystals 1 mm with lustrous colorless bladed cerussite crystals to 2 mm with lustrous transparent gray mimetite crystals to 1 mm. The otavite is identifiable by red UV fluorescence. The aragonite fluoresces white under shortwave UV illumination and the otavite fluoresces red. Collected ca. 1970 |
