Locality: | Portland Limestone Quarry, 9 km east of Florence, Fremont County, Colorado |
Description: | Spherical nodule of yellow-metallic pyrite and marcasite crystals. All tests of similar nodules from Colorado limestone deposits indicate that both pyrite and marcasite are present and these should be considered mixed composition. Acquired in August 1994 from Ben Speed |
