Locality:Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals on one face of gray basalt. These amethyst specimens, rare at this locality, were found on the side of the old ramp leading down from the condos on the south wall of the upper quarry. Collected October 1992
