Description: | Lustrous transparent pale-purple amethyst quartz crystals with no matrix attached. The largest amethyst crystal has a moveable bubble in one of the many internal cavities, commonly labeled as an Enhydro, or two-phase inclusion. Collected ca. 1975. This quartz outcrop was completely excavated by open pit mining ca. 1983. |
