Description: | Lustrous dark grossular garnet crystals on epidote-rich matrix. The grossular garnet crystals are trapezohedral form, with striated crystal faces. The largest grossular crystals are black, but the small crystals are translucent yellow-brown (Hessonite). Collected ca. 1970 |
